AICTE to appeal Supreme Court order stating its role as ‘advisory’

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education has decided to appeal against the Supreme Court order stating its role is only “advisory” and colleges affiliated to various universities are not required to take its approval for running MBA and MCA courses.

The Supreme Court in its recent order had said the AICTE has no authority to issue any sanctions on universities and colleges affiliated to varsities.
